Character name: Forgery - Kennedy Shannon
Character archetype: Controller
Current level: 23
Global Chat Handle: @arashi
Time Zone: Hawaiian

Some indication on why you want to run around online with us: Been running with most members in one form or another for a few years now. While I had one character in the CCCP before, the concept/voice failed leading to her reluctant deletion before server moves and purchasable slots became available.

To whom it may concern,

I realize this is likely to be very unusual for someone to apply someone else, their own daughter or not, to your organization, but I beg for a few moments of your time none the less.
A bit of background information is in order first I suppose. Before I married him, my husband told me of a curse his family had been under for generations. At any given time there is one member of the bloodline tasked with, essentially, being a hero. In exchange for some form of power, the tasked member is under a compulsion to save certain people. No one has yet determined how the compulsion chooses who is to be saved, but the longer the tasked member takes in saving them, the more pain they suffer. The compulsions continue until with very few exceptions until that member dies, at which point the curse passes to the closest blood relative over the age of 15. At the time I had met him, my husband's father was the bearer of the curse, and a few years after we married, it had passed to his brother. During the first Rikti War, it passed to my husband and then a year ago he died and the curse went to our daughter.
Since Kennedy, my daughter, began her time as the bearer I've done as much as I could to support her as I did her father, but there's only so much I can do and with the lack of self protecting abilities she to have, I worry that Kennedy with not last another year before...
I have asked her to join other organizations before, and while she agrees to go, they tend to find her attitude a bit... grating. Kennedy is a nice girl, she just suffers almost constant, varying degrees of pain and it has made her a bit jaded. I've heard much of your organization, and I think you could help her, both doing what you do and personally. I've already spoken to Kennedy on this and she agreed to it if you will.

With regards,
Alice Shannon.

[[Official form response]]

Great to see you have interest in our group. Be sure to keep an eye out for an officer in game (and we will do the same looking for you). Our application process revolves around a short probationary period. You may get invited into the SG to facilitate getting teams. But it really is a time for us to get to know you better and vice versa. You get a chance to see how we play and the extent of roleplaying we do. Keep in mind CCCP has a heavy 'cold war' Soviet theme. You can deviate from that a bit, but make sure you have a theme strong in communist/socialist/anarchist ideology. So look at your bio/costume and consider making changes if needed.  Also look through the biographies (in the Duty Roster) section of this site to make sure yours is not in conflict with anyone else's.  Virtually all of the other Russian characters have been aware of each other to some extent before joining the CCCP: the exception to that is, of course, characters from other parallel worlds, such as Soviet Winter, Comrade Hero, and Transiberius.

If you do get in, we like to limit the number of alts in CCCP. With a bit of bio twisting, however, a leftist/communist character outside the Russian Cold War theme will easily fit in our alt group, "Young Champions - CCCP". So after being with us a while, if you have an alt or two that might fit in our group, Young Champions is a great place for them to be.

[[Unofficial part: Welcome to the CCCP, comrade!  We'll try to schedule an interview team as soon as we can.  Looking forward to putting you through the entrance exam.  If you can post when you would be available we can try and muster up a team this weekend.]]
