1. Young Star
2. Fire/Ice Blaster
3. Young Star is from an alternate Earth.  In her reality the U.S. was taken over by a soviet supported coup in 1980.  Young Star was born in 1982 and therefore knows only life in the “Soviet States of America.”  When she was seven, her Mother turned her father in for being a member of the resistance.  He was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death for crimes against the State.  When Young Star was ten she began showing signs of pyrokinetic ability.  She was immediately taken into training by the state to develop her abilities.  Upon completion, she was put into service as a Hero of the State.  As she was being transferred, by portal, from Portland Oregon something went wrong.  She landed in Atlas Park as she should have, but it was not her Atlas Park.  It was soon discovered that she was not from around here.  It was suggested she seek out members of the CCCP as they would have a similar philosophy, and the resources, knowledge, and ability to one day return Young Star to her own dimension.
She is the same “person” as Young Glory, albeit from a different world with a slightly different personality and opposed political philosophies.  They share the same real name and face, but their lives have followed greatly different paths.

5. @Bryan26
6. Pacific
7. I already have a few characters running around in the RPC (Young Glory, Cadaver Girl, Death’s Head Moth), but since the CCCP seems to be the largest and most active SG, it was a good place to have an alt.

((You know, it's getting to the point where we should create a list of alternate Earths that the group has encountered or is from. That way, we could possibly even reuse these worlds and have people be from the same alternate Earth and/or timeline (there are a great deal of them here in the CCCP). With the end of Dystopia and Petrograd's upcoming story arc, it's entirely likely that the CCCP would create such an encyclopedia.

Plus, it'd be nifty to reuse some of the worlds and not have to constantly re-explain the latest "Soviets kicked American ass" thing.

P.S. This is entirely off the wall and nothing bad about your character. We are always looking for good roleplayers and writers, and completely understand how hard it can sometimes to be to explain pro-Soviet people in this world (unless you're willing to play like Steve's Commie Cowgirl, who just seemed to not be paying attention during the last fifty years). ))

((I approve this message!

Yeah, so, I think this is a good idea - obviously, since I was consulted first, and allowed Dylan to post it. More than that, I am willing to undertake the making of above-mentioned encyclopedia, which Dylan will then be able to put up on the site.))

((I have no problem with altering YS's background to fit in with an already created/determined alternate reality/timeline.  I am more interested in the RP and story aspect of an alternate, almost directly opposite in some regards version of Young Glory (who seems to have become my main Rper) And a test to see how well I could RP two different version of the same person and still make them different, yet the same.  Part of the concept is that she is fervently American in her patriotism, she just has that patriotism for a Socialist America.  Sorry if my concept is a bit...cliche? trite?  but heck, comic books aren't exactly always all that deep...  Cool

And it was nice playing with you the one time we did, Red Saviour.  You definately made it...entertaining.))

((OK recruiting officers, get with Young Star and give her a run around the block.  I've played with her as Waitron, and Waitron at least finds her a sturdy comrade.))

((There are, well, a lot of alternate dimensions, some of them never really clearly defined.

In Siberius's dimension, for instance, the Soviet Union lives on and has Europe, but has yet to capture America. In another I remember, America became a communist state while holding its values, while Russia stayed Monarchist and became a tyranical empire.

However, it shouldn't be a problem having another one where the Soviets won. I mean, considering string theory with chaos theory, theres a LOT of choices that might've changed the outcome of the cold war.

Anyhow, as you said, I'm anxious to see the aler-ego of Glory... I can't speak as an interviewer, but I'll vouch for your RP any day from what little I've been around Smiley Can't wait to play with you more.))

Ahem. I think there was something of a misunderstanding. Dylan was not implying that there was something wrong with the character concept. Nor was he saying that inventing a new parallel universe was not legitimate. He was merely proposing, for the sake of... cohesion, and simplicity, to unite all parallel universe currently known to the CCCP, and make of them a resource that would be available to any new applicant that wishes to make a character from a parallel universe where the USSR is somehow... well, not dead.

I thought it was a good idea; it helps flesh out the world in a more realistic manner, and everybody knows I am rather keen on realism. But no offense to anyone, or slight of anyone's ideas, was implied.

[[ Young Star,

Great to see you have interest in our group. Be sure to keep an eye out for an officer in game (and we will do the same looking for you). Our application process revolves around a short probationary period. You may get invited into the SG to facilitate getting teams. But it really is a time for us to get to know you better and vice versa. You get a chance to see how we play and the extent of roleplaying we do. Keep in mind CCCP has a heavy 'cold war' Soviet theme. You can deviate from that a bit, but make sure you have a theme strong in communist/socialist/anarchist ideology. So look at your bio/costume and consider making changes if needed.  Also look through the biographys (in the Duty Roster) section of this site to make sure yours is not in conflict with anyone else's.  Virtually all of the other Russian characters have been aware of each other to some extent before joining the CCCP: the exception to that is, of course, characters from other parallel worlds, such as Soviet Winter, Comrade Hero, and Transiberius.

If you do get in, we like to limit the number of alts in CCCP. With a bit of bio twisting, however, a leftist/communist character outside the Russian Cold War theme will easily fit in our alt group, "Young Champions - CCCP". So after being with us a while, if you have an alt or two that might fit in our group, Young Champions is a great place for them to be.

Untermensch (Chug, 5 Year Plan)

Other Officers (limited list): Bestial Boy, Belladonna Aura, Communard, Russian Battler, Soviet Bear, Sister Hecate, John Murdock, Blaze Phoenyx, Shyft ]]

((Ha! Our very own "Crisis on infinite Earths!" I like it! I'd be down with sharing all of the gory and nasty details of Sib's universe, if you need. The basics of it are fairly simple, though. Instead of the USSR softening up in the face of America, and opening up diplomatic channels, they went aggro instead, completely closing off diplomatic channel with the west. Surrounding countries either fell in line in the face of Soviet aggression, or the USSR would covertly engineer problems within said countries' power structure, and then move in as a "peace keeping" force (Read that as unofficial invasion.), and "help the country stabilize" by nudging pro-communist politicians into power. If you need to know more, hit me with a PM or something.

...yes, I've put a lot of thought into this. Why do you ask?  Grin))

Drop me an email with the gory details. You should have my email, I believe... I'll be dealing with this stuff once Dystopia is done.

Same goes for all other people who want their alternate realities in there. Thank you kindly.

A review committee comprising Comrades Zakat, Zarya, Zvezda, Petrograd, Strela, and myself have found Comrade Young Star to be an acceptable recruit. Comrade Young Star also gave intriguing answer to final interview question.

Enlistment papers have been filed.

[[  Welcome to CCCP!  We have some protocol to pass onto new members to get you integrated into the group quickly.

- Say 'hello' and 'goodbye' in SG chat.  Even if you would just rather crank out a mission solo, at least speak up in SG chat to tell folks you are around.

- Do not be hidden.  We respect other people here and understand completely if players would just like some quiet play time.  If you rather not team and play solo, just say so.  No one will grumble if you turn down a team invite.  We will grumble if you hide yourself purposely to avoid SG members from knowing you are online.  Granted, if there is some story reason for RP purposes we may make an exception (like you have written your hero is out of the country and has not returned to Paragon City yet).

- We expect players under 25 to be in supergroup mode at all times.  It really helps the group out with earning prestige.  At level 25 and higher, being in SG mode is optional.  But post 25, if you can be in SG mode for at least 2 bubbles per level (and the rest of the level earning influence), that would be appreciated.  You do not have to adopt the SG color scheme, or the emblem in SG mode.  So feel free to be in 'stealth SG mode' all the time.

- We do not collect arcane salvage, only tech salvage.  Please convert what tech salvage you accumulate into components for building items.  Also periodically empty out components and raw tech salvage you are carrying into the storage containers in our base (once implemented).  This will free up salvage you are carrying, and also help keep our salvage container properly stocked (but not overflowing as much of it will be components).

- We have a base, please feel free to use it.  We have several features (like teleport!) that you may find useful.  This is what all your hard work goes towards when playing in SG mode, so be sure to use it to the utmost advantage!

- At level 20, we have an 'official' uniform.  We highly suggest that you use the costume as your second slot.  We use this costume mostly for public occasions and special events.  You are not required to wear it, but it is pretty neat to see a horde of CCCPers all in the same uniform parading through Atlas Park..

Head   Entirely up to you. Recommended that any mask be black to match the neck of the suit.
Upper Body   Tops
Chest   Flack Jacket, Stars 2 (black, 5th red from left)
Shoulders   none
Chest Detail   CCCP: Star 2 (both 7th yellow/orange from left/4th row)
Young Champions: Star 8 (7th yellow/orange from left/4th row for both colors)
Gloves   Smooth/bare, leather 1, none (3rd grey from left)
Belt   Ampules (4th grey from left, 6th red from left)
Lower Body   Bottoms
Type: Tights
Bottom   Patent Leather, stripe (black, 4th grey from left)
Boots   Smooth or Stilettos, Standard, None (Black)
Capes   Red (5th from left), Optional. Brooch 52

- We are in a coalition with many other RP groups.  However, the coalition chat is somewhat limited.  We also use a global chat channel (RP Congress).  If you cannot find enough people online in CCCP to form up a team, please use this global channel.  Don't be shy!  We all RP with each other across different groups all the time. ]]

Horosho

However, my protest.  Too many Reds.  Too many Stars.  To many Alexanders.  This is like being in a Tolstoy novel.  Commissar is getting confused.  Am issueing edict.
